The Traveler Series/Rincon Project Wins 2005 Government Travel Award for Government Media Program
At its recent Annual Conference, in Alexandria, Virginia, The society of Government Travel Professionals (SGTP) recognized members who had done an excellent job in global travel management, contingency preparedness, advocacy, and value-add travel programs.

SGTP's Awards entries were judged by a panel of government and travel industry experts for their:
Effectiveness in addressing and solving a government travel related problem, (measurable results);

Innovation in selecting priorities, and in an effective mix of operations and marketing resources; and,

Creativity in their approach and solutions

Selected for this honor was The Traveler Series/Rincon Project, Santa Barbara, California, for its "Government Media Program" program.

The Award says "For your leadership in improving professionalism of official travel services for the $20 billion Government Travel Market. SGTP is pleased to recognize your creativity, innovation and effectiveness. We commend you for this high initiative. With our warmest wishes for the future."

The Award was presented by Judging Committee Co-chairs Scott E. Lamb, CCTE, and Norma R. Pratt, CTC. The winning case study was given to all SGTP conference delegates, and will be available in the Members Only Section of SGTP's web site www.government-travel.org.
